A late Victorian diamond cluster and scroll necklace tiara

An important late Victorian diamond necklace, convertable to a tiara, the necklace of ornate openwork foliate and scroll design with graduating cluster motifs, suspending three graduated detachable drops and garland motifs to each side, all to a diamond-set collet chain, set throughout with old brilliant- and old-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh a total of 22 carats, all silver cutdown collet-set to a yellow gold mount, with snap clasp and safety chain, the central section being detachable, gross weight 51.5 grams, circa 1880
